Come join us this May 30th 3-9pm at the Farmers Market Pavilion and witness the passion, the skill, and the personal depth your local neurodivergent community has to bring to the community at large! Our virtue is in our love and our enjoyment and expression and we would love for you all to be apart of this incredible art and performance expo!
This event will include ear plugs and Bluetooth stations playing various forms of white noise for those with auditory sensitivities.
Mission
As neurodivergent individuals, our passion, interest, and subsequent wealth of knowledge and skills uniquely sets us apart - however - we often face setbacks due to social and economic structures that don't work with or for us. Well, we reject those structures - this space is for you to share your art, performance, and food free from a culture of expectations and prejudices! Our goal is to highlight the incredible neurodivergent talent in the Eugene and western Oregon area - but we need you to make it happen! We want to hear and see and experience your unique voice in your unique way! By showcasing your talents, we aim to expand your audience while increasing public awareness of who we are and how we create.
Meet the Team
Kevin Kopsco (they/them) is a local classical composer and founder of the Eugene Neurodivergent Support group for adults (ENDS). Originally from the east coast, Kevin now resides in Eugene with their partner Elaine and two cats Momo and Scarlett. Kevin cares more about the candor of one’s character than an accomplishments or prestige list. Having went to some of the best music schools in the country, and having a collection of successes, Kevin would rather be known for their kindness, their willingness to help, and their deep passion for justice and the equal and equitable treatment and consideration towards all people. Kevin believes that inclusivity towards those with disabilities isn’t enough, but that society would benefit greatly as a whole if it was centered around them. Using their art, voice, and privilege, they promote humanitarian change to lift up those who struggle to be heard and to expose the truth held within structures and systems that remain oppressive.
